About

A daily‑rebalanced, rule‑based portfolio that flips between risk‑on (leveraged tech/S&P) and risk‑off (cash, long USD, long volatility, short stocks/commodities). Uses RSI and VIX spikes to “catch crashes,” plus KMLM to favor trend‑following in turmoil.
NutHow it works
It’s a rule-based “market weather” system. It watches fear (VIX via VXX) and a ‘hot/cold’ score called RSI (0–100). Calm/rising: it leans into US stocks—especially tech—using turbo ETFs (like TQQQ/QLD/UPRO). Stress: it shifts to defense—cash/T‑Bills, long U.S. dollar, long volatility, short stocks, and pairs like USD vs euro/gold/bitcoin/oil (often 66/34). If tech gets very “cold” (low RSI), it buys quick rebounds. Rebalanced daily. KMLM = a managed‑futures trend fund used as a safety‑switch.
CheckmarkValue prop
Acts as a crisis-hedge and diversification sleeve, shifting to hedges when markets stress to aim for smoother SPY drawdowns; best used as a risk-management layer, not core growth, given current negative out-of-sample results.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
