About

A complex, rule-based market-timing system using levered and hedging ETFs to chase trends across tech/market indices while using volatility and cash-like hedges to limit drawdowns.
NutHow it works
Think of it as a layered decision engine that looks at many assets across different time horizons. It uses a momentum gauge (an RSI-style reading) and moving-average signals on assets like UVXY, QQQ, SPY, DIA, and leveraged tech/semiconductor ETFs to decide what to own. If signals align, it tilts toward leveraged long bets (like TQQQ, TECL, SOXL) or index plays (QQQ, SPY, DIA). If volatility or momentum worsens, it tilts toward hedges (UVXY, SVXY, VIXM) and safer bets (short-duration Treasuries or cash equivalents). The plan is organized into blocks (Popped Total Market Trend 1, v4 Pops, Popped Dividends, etc.), each with its own asset list and threshold rules. Allocations are blended with weights that shift by block, and rebalancing uses a small tolerance to avoid over-trading. It’s a high-turnover, rule-driven approach intended to ride market trends while pruning risk with volatility hedges.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
