About

A daily, momentum-driven rotation among leveraged equity ETFs (e.g., SPXL, TQQQ, TECL, SOXL) with built-in volatility and risk-off hedges (UVXY, SQQQ, BIL, TMV). It uses RSI-like momentum and other return metrics to pick top/bottom assets in multiple groups, allocates equal weight within each group, and rebalances every day to chase fast moves while aiming to limit risk through hedges. This is a high-risk, active strategy meant for experienced traders.
NutHow it works
- It runs every day and looks across a large list of ETFs, notably levered stock plays (SPXL, TQQQ, TECL, SOXL, UVXY, SQQQ, etc.). - Each major section (like SPXL Pop Bot or UVXY SPY Pops) is a self-contained pool that allocates a fixed amount of cash (equal weighting) to a small set of assets that pass its signals. - Signals come from momentum-style rules. The system checks indicators that are described as RSI-like values over short to medium windows (for example, 10 days or 60–90 days) and compares them to thresholds (such as 30 or 80). If an asset’s momentum/rate of change is too weak or too strong, it will be filtered or replaced by other assets in the same or different groups. - It uses a layered decision tree: if the primary condition for an asset is met (e.g., RSI below 30 or above 80, or a favorable cumulative/ moving-average signal), the asset is included; if not, the algorithm moves to alternative assets in that group or shifts to hedges. Some blocks target overbought/oversold conditions for volatility-hedged plays (UVXY) and for risk-off assets (BIL, US Dollar proxies) to guard against drawdowns. - The framework contains many “Bull Search” and “Bear Search” sub-groups that select assets based on top/bottom momentum within a subset (e.g., TQQQ, TECL, SOXL for bullish bets; SQQQ for bearish or hedged entries). - Capital allocation within a group is designed to be equal (weighting shown as 100/100), which roughly spreads risk across the chosen assets rather than concentrating in a single instrument. - The strategy is explicit about leveraging, hedging, and risk-off moves. UVXY-based signals, TMV/TMF/TLT-related groups, and USDU/US dollar-related hedges suggest a plan that not only seeks upside in bullish levered bets but also attempts to protect capital in rising-volatility or rising-rate regimes. - Because many blocks reference 3x levered ETFs and volatility products, the strategy tends to be appropriate for shorter horizons with a willingness to tolerate sharp drawdowns and rapid reversals in volatile markets. This is a high-risk, high-reward style of trading that requires careful risk management, position sizing, and understanding of the products involved. - In short: daily rotation among a curated set of leveraged equity ETFs with momentum-based entry rules, complemented by volatility and duration hedges to try to survive turbulent times, all while trying to capture rapid upside moves.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
