About

Aggressive, rules-based swing strategy focused on tech and broad U.S. stocks. It uses trend filters and a “hot/cold” gauge to rotate among leveraged longs, defensive shorts, or volatility hedges. Rebalances daily; very high risk and turnover.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks trend lines (is the S&P 500/Nasdaq above key moving averages?) and a “hot/cold” meter (RSI) plus recent returns. In uptrends it holds broad/tech funds unless things look too hot, then it hedges (UVXY) or shorts. In weak/crashy markets it cuts risk or flips to inverse Nasdaq (PSQ/SQQQ), with occasional quick dip-buys in 3x tech/semis/Dow or a 4x S&P ETN. In chop, it toggles between QQQ and PSQ using bond strength (TLT).
CheckmarkValue prop
High-upside, tech-led strategy delivers ~47% annualized OOS return vs ~20% for the S&P, thanks to dynamic regime swapping and hedges. Pros: bigger upside; Cons: substantially larger drawdowns and higher volatility.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
