A daily strategy that tries to be aggressively long tech when conditions look healthy, hedge with VIXM when fear rises, and otherwise sit in a diversified defensive basket.

This strategy mainly wants to own leveraged big-tech stocks through QLD when many market “health checks” look good. If tech has fallen hard and looks washed out, it may buy the dip in semiconductors or QLD. If markets look dangerous, it can hedge with VIXM, which tends to rise when fear spikes. If neither bullish nor dangerous conditions are clear, it moves into a diversified defensive mix of gold, utilities, healthcare, commodities, and other stabilizers.

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
