About

A daily, rules‑based strategy that flips among tech/cyclicals, commodities/value, defensives, and explicit crash hedges using simple trend, “too hot/too cold,” and volatility cues to seek high returns with shallow drawdowns.
NutHow it works
1) Big picture: Is the world risk-on or risk-off? It compares global stocks vs a low‑volatility stock fund to decide. 2) Inflation check: Are metals beating US long Treasuries? That sets an inflation or deflation playbook. 3) Heat check: A simple “speedometer” (RSI) flags too‑hot/too‑cold markets to add hedges or buy rebounds. 4) Fear check: If the VIX is beginning to surge, it deploys crash hedges (inverse/defensive ETFs). 5) It then buys a basket that fits the regime: tech/semis for risk‑on, commodities/value if inflationary, defensives/Treasuries or inverse funds in risk‑off, plus occasional currency shorts (euro/yen). Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets ~30% annualized returns with ~2.4% max drawdown and a Calmar around 12, outperforming SPY's negative gains and ~5% drawdown. Daily regime-switching and hedges aim for high risk-adjusted growth with resilience.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
