About

Uses bond strength as a risk signal each quarter. If bonds recently beat T‑bills, it goes 100% into the strongest of QQQ, MDY, or SHY. Otherwise, it moves 100% to IEF (7–10 year Treasuries) for defense.
NutHow it works
Every quarter, it checks the last 60 days: did broad U.S. bonds (BND) beat cash‑like T‑bills (BIL)? If yes, it puts 100% into the single best 3‑month performer among QQQ (big tech‑heavy stocks), MDY (mid‑size stocks), or SHY (short‑term Treasuries). If no, it goes 100% to IEF (7–10 yr Treasuries).
CheckmarkValue prop
Two-step, rules-based strategy: risk gate + momentum pick. In out-of-sample tests, higher risk-adjusted return (Sharpe ~0.94 vs SPY ~0.82) and lower drawdown (~17% vs ~22%), with positive alpha—steady gains versus the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
