About

A simple clone of Pershing Square: eight North American businesses held at preset weights. Very concentrated, so it can swing more than the market.
NutHow it works
It mirrors Bill Ackman’s Pershing Square stock picks and target sizes. It holds: Alphabet (Google), Hilton hotels, Chipotle, Restaurant Brands (Burger King/Tim Hortons/Popeyes), Howard Hughes (real estate), Canadian Pacific Kansas City (railroad), Brookfield (asset manager), and Nike. Weights are preset (20,18,17,16,11,11,3,4%) and there’s no automatic rebalancing.
CheckmarkValue prop
Pershing Square-inspired eight-stock portfolio aims to outperform the S&P with a focused stock-pickers' edge. Out-of-sample: ~12.2% annualized return, Sharpe ~0.71, beta ~0.85, max drawdown ~22.5%. Higher upside when winners soar, but more drawdown risk than SPY.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
