About

A high‑risk, daily‑rebalanced meme/tech rotation that uses momentum signals to switch between a UVXY‑driven risk‑on/off stance and a meme/tech stock basket, plus a parallel hedged long/short sleeve (treasuries, VIX proxies, dollar) to manage risk. It allocates 100% of capital across a small set of assets chosen by simple ranking rules and rebalances every day.
NutHow it works
- Every day, the system scans a set of assets and uses simple momentum signals to decide what to hold. - A core “meme switcher” pathway looks at momentum cues on broad market proxies and volatility indicators and may tilt into UVXY (a volatility ETF) when momentum signals look extreme, otherwise it rotates among a basket of meme/tech names (like TSLA-type or AI/space related stocks and related ETFs). - A separate “Long/Short Rotator” looks at hedges and risk assets (like TMV, TMF, SVXY, VIX futures proxies, UUP, FTLS, and KMLM) and selects a small number of these to tilt toward or away from, aiming to reduce risk when volatility rises. - Within each branch, the strategy uses simple ranking rules (e.g., standard deviation of returns, moving‑average style performance, or RSI levels) to pick the assets and to assign weights. In many cases, the code shows a 100/100 weight (i.e., full allocation to the selected assets), distributed across the chosen assets. - The two branches eventually feed a combined allocation that is taken in the open equity sleeve, with daily rebalancing. - The intended effect is to ride momentum in meme/tech themes while periodically hedging risk with volatility and dollar/treasury exposure when conditions suggest stress.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy targets ~57% annualized return vs ~18% for the S&P, with Sharpe near 1.0 and Calmar ~1.70. It seeks big meme/tech upside while using hedges to curb risk, but max drawdown is higher (~33% vs ~19%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
