About
Rules-based “risk switch.” On fear spikes, hold T‑Bills. Otherwise, if bonds are beating cash, rotate into the strongest large‑cap stocks; if not, rotate into the strongest bond and commodity ETFs. Equal‑weighted picks.
1) Volatility check: If VIXY’s 10‑day RSI (a “speedometer” of price moves) is >75, that signals panic. Go 100% to BIL (T‑Bills, cash‑like).
2) Else, compare last 60‑day returns: if BND (bonds) beats BIL, go risk‑on and equal‑weight the top 3 short‑term winners from S&P 500, Nasdaq‑100, and Dow lists (20‑day trend).
3) If bonds don’t beat cash, go defensive: hold the top 2 commodity ETFs and top 3 bond ETFs by 20‑day trend.
Out-of-sample strength: Sharpe ~1.48 vs 1.33, annualized ~28% vs 21%, and beta ~0.5, with volatility-driven rotations to cash/bonds/commodities—capturing more upside with disciplined risk vs the S&P 500.
