About
A market-timing strategy that rotates between cash-like T-bills, top-performing large U.S. stocks, or a defensive mix of commodities and bonds based on market fear and bond strength.
This strategy first asks: “Is the market panicking?” It checks VIXY, a fund tied to market fear. If fear has spiked hard, it moves to BIL, a very short-term Treasury fund that acts a lot like cash.
If fear is calm, it asks whether regular bonds (BND) have recently done better than Treasury bills (BIL). If yes, it buys the strongest big U.S. stocks from lists similar to the S&P 500, Nasdaq, and Dow.
If not, it shifts defensive and buys the strongest mix of commodity funds and bond funds.
Dynamic regime-switching strategy: pivots to cash on fear, then to momentum or defensives. Diversifies risk and can dampen downside vs. the S&P 500. OOS: Sharpe ~1.02; ~17.7% annualized.
