About

A complex, daily-regime rotating strategy that combines a bull/bear rotation, momentum screening, and a single best-position pick among a universe of levered and hedged ETFs, with added gold-miner exposure and volatility plays. It aims to ride trends when markets are strong and hedge when they aren’t, but it uses many nested rules and levered instruments, making it high-risk and not suitable for beginners.
NutHow it works
This is a daily-rule system that first checks overall market health against a long-term benchmark (200-day look) and a KMLM benchmark to decide if the regime is bullish or bearish. If bullish, the Feaver Frontrunner module ranks a wide set of assets by recent momentum and selects the top performer (often a levered long ETF). If bearish, the Bear strategy module engages hedges/volatility plays and selects bear-friendly or defensive assets. A gold-miner tilt and other overlays provide diversification. The final position is often a single primary asset, with hedges layered around it, and the whole portfolio is rebalanced every trading day.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample Sharpe 2.74 vs SPX 2.46; alpha +2.21%; Calmar ~18.9. Rides strong trends, hedges in downturns to deliver potentially higher risk-adjusted returns than the S&P, with higher risk tolerance.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
