About

A rules-based, multi-asset portfolio that dials risk up or down using recent volatility and trends, rotating among blue‑chip US stocks, bonds (incl. TIPS and credit), gold, commodities, the US dollar, and cash-like Treasuries; can tactically short long bonds.
NutHow it works
It splits money across three sleeves: US blue‑chip stocks, bonds/yield, and capital preservation. It checks recent market “bumpiness” and 2–6 month trends. When things are calm, it owns more stocks and long Treasuries; when choppy, it shifts to cash‑like Treasuries, the US dollar, gold, and staples, and can short long bonds if rates are rising.
CheckmarkValue prop
OOS Sharpe ~2.19 vs SPY ~1.35; drawdown ~6% vs ~19%; beta ~0.35. A diversified, rules-based mix of stocks, bonds, gold and dollars with volatility/momentum controls delivers stronger risk-adjusted returns and tighter downside protection than S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
