About
A daily, rules-based defensive rotation. It mainly owns Consumer Staples (XLP) and Utilities (XLU) when recent trends and cross‑market checks look supportive; otherwise it moves to short‑term Treasuries (SHY). 75% staples sleeve, 25% utilities.
Each day it splits money: 75% runs a Consumer Staples (XLP) rulebook, 25% a Utilities (XLU) rulebook. In each, 4 tests compare recent returns across markets (SPY=S&P 500, KMLM=managed‑futures, ITA=aerospace/defense, FDN=internet, LQD=corp bonds). If conditions look favorable, it buys XLP or XLU; otherwise it holds SHY (1–3y Treasuries).
Defensive, rules-based rotation (XLP/XLU vs SHY) with regime risk control. Out-of-sample: lower drawdown (4.58% vs SPY 5.07%), near-zero beta, Calmar ~0.38—delivers ballast and steadier risk-adjusted returns when markets wobble, complementing the S&P 500.
