About

Shifts between big-tech growth (QQQ/QLD), safety (SHY), and crash insurance (UVXY) using “too hot/too cold” signals and simple trend checks. Goal: ride uptrends, buy deep dips with leverage, and defend when markets overheat. Rebalances daily.
NutHow it works
Rebalanced daily. If QQQ (big tech) looks overheated, hedge: if SPY is also very hot, go 100% UVXY (a volatility fund that jumps when stocks fall); else hold 34% UVXY and 66% SHY (short‑term Treasuries). If QQQ looks washed out, buy QLD (2× QQQ) for a rebound. Otherwise, if SPY is above its 108‑ or 34‑day average, own QQQ; if not, sit in SHY.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~38.8% annualized return vs ~26.9% for S&P; Sharpe ~2.27; Calmar ~4.93. Max drawdown ~7.88% vs ~5.07%. Hedges spikes with UVXY and buys QLD dips for higher upside and risk-adjusted gains, but with more drawdown risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
