About

Rules-based mix: 40% U.S. stocks, 40% tech, 10% international, 10% managed futures. Follows trends and momentum; if fear rises, shifts to T‑Bills or defensive stocks. Occasionally takes brief bounce/hedge trades. No fixed rebalance date.
NutHow it works
It splits money about 40% U.S. stocks (VTI), 40% tech (VGT), 10% international (VXUS), 10% managed futures (CTA/KMLM). It stays in stocks when trends are healthy (short‑term > long‑term). RSI (0–100: <30 oversold, >70–80 hot) and a fear gauge (VIXM) guide risk cuts. In stress it parks in T‑Bills (BIL) or shifts to defensive Consumer Staples (VDC). Rarely, it uses QLD (2× Nasdaq) or SH (inverse S&P) for short tactical moves.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~27.1% annualized vs S&P ~24.7%, higher risk-adjusted Sharpe (~1.51 vs 1.47), and lower drawdown (~17% vs 18.8%). Diversified, rules-based strategy with defensive hedges and managed futures.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
