About

A very active, rules‑based rotation: buy tech on sharp dips; when tech is overheated, rotate into defensive staples (UGE), cash‑like T‑Bills, or volatility hedges. Uses trend and bond signals to manage risk. High turnover and high risk.
NutHow it works
Each day it asks: is tech hot or cold? It uses RSI (a short‑term “hot/cold” score) and trend lines. If tech (TQQQ/TECL) is overheated, it steps down into defense: UGE (a double‑speed consumer‑staples fund), cash‑like T‑Bills (BIL/SHV), or “fear” funds (UVXY/VIXY). If tech is washed‑out, it buys the dip (TQQQ/TECL/SOXL). Bond signals (TLT/IEF) and the 200‑day trend decide risk‑on vs hedged.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample shows better risk control: ~5% annualized return with smaller drawdowns (3.36% vs 5.07%), Calmar ~1.49, Sharpe ~1.16. Diversified tech rotations + hedges seek steadier, less volatile growth vs the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
