About

An ultra-aggressive momentum strategy that switches between a single-stock bet and a hedged two-asset mix based on SPY volatility, with daily rebalancing and a focus on a small set of mega-cap stocks and a gold/treasury hedge for protection.
NutHow it works
What it does in plain language: - It watches a small group of notable stocks and uses SPY’s recent volatility to decide how aggressive to be. - If market volatility is low (SPY 10-day risk measure is below a threshold), it picks the single best performer from the group over the last 30 days and puts all money there. - If volatility is higher, it becomes a bit more conservative: it takes the top two momentum stocks and splits the money 70% to the best one and 30% to GLD (gold) as a hedge. In another variant, it may instead place a 70/30 split between GLD and TLT (long Treasuries) as a cash-like hedge. - Positions are adjusted every trading day. The plan is to chase upside in clear uptrends while using a simple hedge during spikes, but it has minimal safety nets beyond those hedges, i.e., it’s a high-risk, high-reward approach.
CheckmarkValue prop
Volatility-gated momentum sleeve that complements SPY. In calm markets it targets a single top momentum stock for potential alpha; in spikes it hedges with GLD/TLT to cushion drawdowns. Daily rebalance enables quick risk management.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
