About

Daily, rules‑based switcher. When Nasdaq or S&P 500 look washed out, it buys 3x bull funds (TQQQ/UPRO). When they look overheated, it moves to VXX (volatility). If neither, it holds a defensive pick: consumer staples (XLP) or a bond fund (VBF).
NutHow it works
Each day it checks a short‑term “heat gauge” (RSI: 0–100; low=weak, high=hot) on QQQ (Nasdaq‑100) and SPY (S&P 500). If Nasdaq looks very weak (RSI≤32), buy TQQQ (3x Nasdaq). If very hot (RSI≥80), buy VXX (volatility). Else if S&P is very weak (RSI≤30), buy UPRO (3x S&P). If very hot (RSI≥80), buy VXX. Otherwise, hold the more beaten‑down of XLP (consumer‑staples stocks) or VBF (bond fund). Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Dynamic, rules-based rotation seeks upside with 3x bulls on extremes, hedges with VXX, and defensives in between. Out-of-sample Calmar ~0.96 signals solid risk-adjusted returns and diversification beyond the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
