About
A daily trading strategy that makes aggressive bets on Nasdaq rebounds or drops, but otherwise parks money in defensive staples or bonds.
Each day, the strategy looks at QQQ, a popular fund that tracks big Nasdaq stocks like Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon.
It uses RSI, a simple “too much selling or buying lately?” score from 0 to 100.
• If QQQ looks heavily sold off (RSI 30 or less), it buys TQQQ, a fund that tries to rise 3x as much as the Nasdaq.
• If QQQ looks overheated (RSI 80 or more), it buys SQQQ, a fund that rises when the Nasdaq falls, also at 3x strength.
• Otherwise, it hides in either XLP (defensive consumer staples stocks) or VBF (bonds), choosing the one that has been weaker lately.
Dynamic Nasdaq-leverage with a defensive ballast. 3x bets on extreme momentum, otherwise rotate to staples/bonds. Out-of-sample: ~22.5% annualized return with Calmar ~1 - strong risk-adjusted growth and diversification beyond the S&P 500.
