About
A daily switching strategy that chooses between NVIDIA and Eli Lilly based on whether the market looks risk-friendly or defensive, using volatility and other market “mood” signals.
This strategy switches between just two stocks: NVIDIA (NVDA) and Eli Lilly (LLY).
It first checks whether the market looks calm or stressed using volatility, tech strength, defensive sectors, junk bonds, and gold. When investors seem comfortable taking risk, it leans toward NVDA. When markets look more nervous or defensive, it leans toward LLY. In some choppy periods, it can split between the two.
Out-of-sample annualized return: 30.39% vs S&P 18.19%, with Sharpe ~0.86. Higher drawdowns (~36%) are traded for stronger upside via regime-switching between NVDA and LLY, aiming for superior risk-adjusted performance vs the S&P.
