A meta strategy that owns the two best recent performers among many rule sets. It rides tech/growth in uptrends, but quickly rotates to cash, Treasuries, gold, dollar, managed‑futures (KMLM), or volatility hedges when markets weaken.

It ranks dozens of rule-based mini‑portfolios by recent 3‑month performance and buys the top two. Inside each, simple rules buy growth stocks when prices trend above long‑term averages, and shift to T‑Bills (BIL/SHY) or hedges (bonds, gold, dollar, volatility funds) when momentum cools. “RSI” gauges how hot/cold a move is. KMLM adds a managed‑futures diversifier.

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
