About

A tactical “TQQQ‑or‑not” portfolio: ride uptrends with 3x equity ETFs, buy tech/semis on sharp dips, and hedge selloffs with cash/T‑bills, inverse Nasdaq, volatility funds, or long Treasuries/US dollar. Signals use simple heat/trend gauges (RSI, MAs).
NutHow it works
A rules-based switcher. When stocks trend up, it owns 3x equity funds: TQQQ (3x Nasdaq‑100), SPXL/UPRO (3x S&P 500), SOXL/TECL (3x tech/semis). If prices get “hot” or fall fast (RSI = 0–100 heat gauge; MAs; short‑term drawdown), it hedges with BIL/SHV (T‑bills), a 60/40 BIL+SQQQ (3x short Nasdaq), or volatility funds (UVXY long VIX, VIXM/SVXY mix). In risk‑off, it rotates to Treasuries (TLT/TMF) or the US dollar (UUP). Uses high‑risk ETFs.
CheckmarkValue prop
3x-leveraged, rules-based strategy that captures tech-led uptrends with hedges. Out-of-sample annualized return ~59% vs ~23% for the S&P; Calmar ~1.75 signals strong risk-adjusted growth—higher upside with built-in risk controls.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
