About

Rules‑based macro rotation. If longer US bonds (BND) trail T‑Bills (BIL) and the dollar (UUP) trends up, hold YCS (2× short yen). If bonds trail but the dollar isn’t strong, hold GLD (gold). If rates fall (BND beats BIL), hold IGHG (rate‑hedged corporate bonds).
NutHow it works
Every day it asks two questions: 1) Have longer US bonds (BND) lagged T‑Bills (BIL) over ~3 months? If no, buy IGHG (investment‑grade bonds hedged against interest‑rate moves). If yes, check the US dollar trend with UUP (dollar index): if rising (price above 60‑day avg), buy YCS (2× short Japanese yen). If not rising, buy GLD (gold). It holds 100% in the chosen ETF until a signal flips.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: Sharpe 1.16 vs ~1.00; max drawdown 8.4% vs 18.8%; annualized return ~16.94% vs 17.54% S&P; Calmar ~2.03; beta ~0.12. A disciplined, single-asset rotation with stronger risk control than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
