About

A rules-based “ride the uptrend, hedge the blow‑ups” portfolio: it chases strong stock trends (often via 3x tech/S&P funds or mega‑caps), buys dips with checks, and flips to Treasuries, cash‑like T‑bills, and VIX/anti‑beta hedges when markets overheat or weaken.
NutHow it works
Daily rules decide risk-on vs risk-off. If stocks trend up (S&P 500 above its 200‑day average and growth beating defensives), it rides leaders—often 3x funds like TQQQ/UPRO/TECL/SOXL or top mega‑caps—and buys sharp dips. If markets overheat or weaken, it pivots to safety: long Treasuries (TMF/TLT) or T‑bills (SHV/BIL), plus volatility hedges (UVXY/VIXY or SVXY/VIXM) and BTAL. RSI = speed of recent gains/losses; moving averages = trend. Uses risk brakes to cap drawdowns.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample stats beat the S&P: Sharpe ~2.04 vs 0.97; Calmar ~8.95; annualized return ~111% vs ~11% for SPY. A trend-following, hedged approach that aims for higher risk-adjusted gains with built-in drawdown protection.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
