About

When markets look overheated, it bets on a volatility spike (UVXY/UVIX). Otherwise, it buys a 2x ETF on the Big Tech name that lagged QQQ that day; if none lagged, it shorts tech via TECS. Very aggressive, short‑term approach.
NutHow it works
It checks a 10‑day “heat score” (RSI) on broad market/sector funds. If any are extremely hot (around 80+), it splits into UVXY and UVIX—funds that jump when market fear rises. If not hot, it buys a 2x ETF on the Big Tech stock that lagged QQQ today (MSFT→MSFX, AAPL→AAPX, GOOGL→GGLL, NVDA→NVDX). If none lagged, it buys TECS (3x short tech). High risk, short‑term.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: ~38.7% annual return vs ~16.8% for the S&P, with Calmar ~0.73 and Sharpe ~0.79. Leverages volatility spikes and tech mean-reversion for strong upside; note higher drawdown risk than the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
