About

A high-risk, momentum-based strategy that selects one asset from a diverse pool and puts all money into the top performer over the last ~6 months, with no automatic rebalancing to a diversified mix.
NutHow it works
Plain-language: You start with cash and a short list of potential investments (a mix of very aggressive tech bets, volatility bets, a crypto proxy, platinum, high-yield bonds, the very short end of the government bond market, and a broad tech fund). The system looks back about six months and asks: which of these has the strongest uptrend? It ranks them by how much they’ve gained over that period and picks the top one. All of your cash goes into that single winner. There’s no ongoing rebalancing to multiple assets; you simply switch to the new top asset when the momentum screen runs again. The 4% corridor width doesn’t come into play because rebalancing is set to none, so the process is a pure top-pick, all-in, single-asset engine.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~13.7% annualized return vs ~1.1% S&P. Sharpe ~0.82 vs ~0.15; Calmar ~3.91. A pure momentum top-pick with 100% in the winner and ~3.5% max drawdown—higher upside, better risk-adjusted results than SPY.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
