About

A daily, rules‑based rotation across commodities, Treasuries, and high‑beta stocks. It uses simple trend and overbought/oversold signals to flip between 3x bull/bear ETFs and volatility (UVXY). Attacks in uptrends, defends in stress; very high risk.
NutHow it works
Daily, it runs 3 sleeves: 1) Stocks vs commodities: buy broad commodities when DBC trends up; else hold short‑term Treasuries. If commodities look overheated, short gold miners. 2) Bonds: follow TLT. Uptrend/not overbought → 3x long (TMF). Weak/overbought or rising rates → 3x short (TMV) or a defensive mix (gold, strong USD). 3) Aggressive stocks: use RSI (0–100: high=overbought, low=oversold) and moving averages to rotate among 3x tech/semis bulls or bears, and sometimes UVXY. Very high risk.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: about 27.5% annualized vs S&P ~21.4%; Calmar ~1.35 and Sharpe ~1.10 indicate strong risk-adjusted gains. A diversified, rules-based mix of commodities, Treasuries, and leveraged equities aims higher upside with built-in hedges beyond plain S&P exposure.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
