About

Rules-based, risk-on/risk-off strategy using trend and “hot/cold” gauges on tech/semis. It rotates among a core mix (TQQQ, TNA, TMF, UGL), a volatility hedge (VXX) when overheated, or defense via TMF or SQQQ in downtrends.
NutHow it works
It uses TQQQ (3x big‑tech) as a thermometer. If TQQQ is above its 200‑day avg (long‑term uptrend), hold an equal mix of TQQQ, TNA (3x small‑caps), TMF (3x long Treasuries) and UGL (2x gold)—unless TQQQ’s “hot/cold” gauge (RSI) >79, then move to VXX (rises with fear). If not in an uptrend: buy that same mix when TQQQ’s RSI <31. Else, if semiconductors (SMH) RSI <30: tilt to USD (2x semis) + TMF & UGL. Else, if TQQQ is below its 20‑day avg: pick whichever is stronger, SQQQ (‑3x tech) or TMF. Otherwise use the core mix.
CheckmarkValue prop
Regime-aware, diversified strategy using trend signals, hedges (VXX), and tilts to gold and Treasuries. Aims to lower correlation to the S&P and dampen drawdowns in volatile cycles; note the OOS window is only 37 days.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
