About

A short‑term “buy recent winners” rotation. It picks the two best‑performing buckets among US stocks, tech, Dow, commodities, and bonds, then holds the top 2–3 names inside each, equally weighted. Includes some leveraged/inverse bond ETFs.
NutHow it works
Every few weeks it looks at roughly the last month of performance. 1) It ranks five buckets: big US stocks (S&P‑style), tech/growth (Nasdaq‑style), Dow blue chips, commodity funds (oil/metals/agriculture), and bond funds (from T‑bills to long Treasuries, incl. some leveraged/inverse). 2) It buys the best two buckets and splits money equally. 3) Inside each chosen bucket, it buys the 2–3 strongest names and splits money equally. It can shift quickly as leaders change.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy offers stronger risk-adjusted gains vs the S&P: ~34% annualized return vs ~23%, Sharpe ~1.43 vs 1.37, Calmar ~1.39, beta ~0.62. It rotates across leaders for growth with disciplined risk, though drawdowns can exceed the S&P in some regimes.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
