About
A momentum strategy that each month leans into the 2 strongest areas out of stocks, tech, blue chips, commodities, and bonds, then buys only the strongest names inside them.
This strategy looks at how different investments have behaved over roughly the last month and buys what has been rising the most.
First, it compares 5 buckets: big U.S. stocks, tech/growth stocks, Dow-style blue chips, commodities, and bonds. It keeps only the 2 strongest buckets.
Then, inside each winning bucket, it buys only the strongest holdings from that bucket. That means it is always rotating toward recent winners rather than holding everything all the time.
Out-of-sample edge: 26.84% annualized return vs SPY's 20.98%, with beta ~0.59 and positive alpha. Monthly rotation into the top 2 cross-asset winners aims for higher growth with lower market exposure; Calmar ≈1.10.
