About
A rules‑driven 60/40 that rides stock and bond uptrends with leverage and quickly rotates to USD, gold, Treasuries, or hedges (volatility/short funds) when markets overheat or sell off, using trend, RSI, and volatility triggers.
Goal: a smarter 60/40. About 40% is a bond sleeve that holds Treasuries/credit for ballast and, when long‑term Treasuries trend up, adds a fast version (TMF). If rates rise or bonds get choppy, it shifts to the U.S. dollar (UUP/USDU), gold (GLD), staples (XLP), or even the inverse long‑bond (TMV).
The other ~60% rides stock uptrends with 2–3x Nasdaq/S&P funds (TQQQ, QLD, SPXL/TECL). In selloffs or when things look overheated it hedges with volatility funds (UVXY/SVXY), short funds (SQQQ/PSQ/SH), or short‑term Treasuries (SHY/BSV).
Rules look at trend (moving averages), “heat” (RSI: high=hot, low=washed‑out), and choppiness (volatility/drawdown).
Out-of-sample annualized return 22.69% vs S&P 21.61%, lower drawdown (17.58% vs 18.76%), and lower beta (~0.89). A rules-driven, leveraged 60/40 that rides uptrends and hedges risk, aiming for steadier, higher risk-adjusted gains.
