About

A rules-based, momentum-driven strategy anchored to SCHD that toggles between leveraged tech bets, volatility hedges, and bonds based on RSI/mean-reversion signals, with trigger-based rebalancing and a dividend core.
NutHow it works
Neo Pops SCHD is a rules-based allocation system. It watches momentum/volatility signals (primarily RSI on QQQ with 10-, 20-, and 30-day lookbacks) and then chooses among several asset groups. If momentum is strong, it leans into higher-risk, leveraged tech bets (TECL, TQQQ, SPXL) and volatility-related assets (UVXY, TECS) or a related tech tilt. If momentum is weak or risk rises, it shifts toward hedges (TECS/UVXY) and short- or intermediate-duration bonds (BIL, IEF) or reverts to SCHD as a safe core. There are multiple nested decision blocks labeled by group names (e.g., 321 Pop, QQQ Double Pop Bot, Bond Signals) that each propose a full allocation to a specific sleeve when their conditions fire. The system does not rebalance on a fixed schedule; it recalibrates only when a trigger fires, using a small corridor (0.1) to prevent excessive changes. Core idea: combine a dividend-focused anchor with tactical, signal-driven bets and hedging to adapt to market conditions while limiting churn and risk exposure.
CheckmarkValue prop
Dynamic, dividend-core strategy using RSI-driven tilts into leveraged tech and hedges. Out-of-sample annualized return ~53% vs S&P ~23%; Calmar ~1.66. Higher upside with risk controls and hedging.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
