About

Rule-based swing-and-trend strategy: goes aggressive with 3x tech/S&P when momentum is favorable, hedges or parks in cash when fear spikes, and defaults to SCHD when signals are mixed.
NutHow it works
Core idea: buy 3x tech/S&P only when odds favor it; otherwise hide in SCHD or T-bills. It watches: 1) fear (VIX), 2) short-term overbought/oversold (RSI = how hot/cold on 0-100), 3) trend (price above 25-day average), 4) bond vs stock strength. If fear spikes, it hedges (short tech/long VIX) or parks in T-bills. In calm/trending markets, it buys TECL/SPXL/UDOW; if signals are mixed, it defaults to SCHD.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~52% annualized returns vs ~22% for the S&P, with strong risk-adjusted performance (Sharpe ~1.29, Calmar ~1.72) and built-in hedges that limit losses during spikes while still capturing upside.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
