This strategy watches the semiconductor sector first, using SOXX as its “temperature check.” If chip stocks look too hot, it bets against them with SOXS. If chip stocks have dipped, it may buy SOXL for a rebound—or stay bearish if conditions still look weak. If semiconductors are not sending a strong signal, it looks at the overall U.S. market through SPY. In very overheated markets it hides in VIXM, which can rise when fear jumps. In very beaten-down markets it buys strong high-octane funds. Otherwise it picks the 3 strongest stocks from a mostly tech-heavy list.
