About

An automated “heat meter” for markets: it flips between 3x long or 3x short semiconductors (SOXL/SOXS). If chips give no clear cue, it either hedges with volatility (VIXM), buys 3x index funds on deep dips, or holds the 3 strongest mega‑cap stocks. Very aggressive.
NutHow it works
Think of RSI as a 0–100 “heat meter” of recent up vs. down days. 1) If chips (SOXX = broad semiconductor fund) look very hot (10‑day heat >73), it shorts chips via SOXS (3x inverse). 2) If chips look short‑term weak (2‑day heat <42) and SOXL’s 10‑day heat <57, it goes long chips via SOXL (3x). Otherwise it stays short via SOXS. 3) If no clear chip signal, it uses SPY’s heat: too hot (>77) → VIXM (volatility). Very cold (<30) → top 2 of TECL/TNA/SPXL (3x tech/small‑cap/S&P). Else → top 3 strongest mega‑cap stocks. Trades only when signals flip (~7% drift band).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample annualized return 66.6% vs SPY’s 21.4%, and a Calmar of 1.54, driven by a rules-based semiconductor/momentum system with volatility hedges and mega-cap rotations. Potential to outperform in tech-driven rallies, with higher drawdown risk in declines.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
