About

Own the 10 biggest NASDAQ stocks only when their short‑term trend is rising; otherwise shift that slice into Treasuries (TLT), gold (GLD), and real estate (VNQ). Rules are checked daily and the portfolio rebalances accordingly.
NutHow it works
Each day the portfolio is split into 10 equal parts, one for each big NASDAQ stock (Apple, Microsoft, Google, Amazon, NVIDIA, Tesla, Meta, Netflix, Adobe, Intel). If a stock’s average price over the last 50 days is above its 200‑day average (an uptrend), that part holds the stock. If not, that part moves to a defensive mix: 33% long‑term U.S. Treasury bonds (TLT), 33% gold (GLD), 34% U.S. real estate (VNQ). It then rebalances.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, risk-managed mega-cap strategy: trend filters move weak sleeves to TLT/GLD/VNQ, lowering beta (~0.80) and protecting downside. ~12% annualized OOS with Sharpe ~0.68 and Calmar ~0.62—strong diversification vs the S&P.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
