About

Daily: if QQQ fell over ~10 days, buy the single hottest pick among NAIL/SPHB/VIXM/UGL; otherwise sit in BIL (T‑Bills). A contrarian risk-on trigger after weakness; cash when not.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks how the Nasdaq-100 (QQQ) did over ~10 trading days. If QQQ hasn’t fallen, it parks in short-term T‑Bills (BIL). If QQQ has fallen, it buys one of: NAIL (3x homebuilders), SPHB (high‑beta stocks), VIXM (volatility), or UGL (2x gold)—whichever had the biggest recent move. Rebalanced daily.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample performance: ~38.7% annualized return, ~15% max drawdown, Sharpe ~1.33 and Calmar ~2.58—versus SPY’s ~18.8% return, ~18.8% drawdown, and ~1.11 Sharpe. Higher risk-adjusted upside, lower downside than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
