About

Buys one very volatile ETF each day—NAIL, SPHB, VIXM, or UGL—whichever was most “jumpy” over the past week. QQQ is used as a loose gate; cash (BIL) or Bitcoin (GBTC) are rare fallbacks. Expect very high risk and big swings.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks QQQ’s recent move. If it’s within a very wide band, it picks one ETF to own for the day—whichever had the jumpiest last 5 days: NAIL (3× homebuilders), SPHB (high‑vol U.S. stocks), VIXM (market fear), or UGL (2× gold)—and puts 100% in it. Only in extreme moves would it park in T‑Bills (BIL) or switch to Bitcoin (GBTC).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, the strategy posts ~34% annualized return, ~1.20 Sharpe, ~2.29 Calmar, and ~15% max drawdown with beta ~0.27—delivering higher risk-adjusted upside and far lower market exposure than the S&P 500.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
