About

A rules-based, tech-tilted trend/momentum strategy. It moves to bonds in market downtrends, shorts overheated tech or fear spikes, and otherwise owns the two strongest leaders that pass quick health checks, with a cash-like fallback.
NutHow it works
Step 1: Big picture. If the S&P 500’s 50‑day average is below its 200‑day, sit in short‑term bond funds (SHY/JPST/BIL). If in an uptrend: (a) If tech is overheated (RSI, a 0–100 “heat meter,” on TQQQ >79), bet on a pullback in chips via SOXS (3x inverse). (b) If tech just fell ~13% in 6 days: after a huge 1‑day pop short SOXS; otherwise buy NVDA. (c) If fear (VIXM) surges, short the S&P via SPXU. (d) Else own the 2 strongest big names that pass quick trend/RSI checks; weak picks park in SCHD/JPST/BIL.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample performance shows stronger risk-adjusted returns (Sharpe 3.39 vs SPY 2.03), meaningful upside, and built-in hedges (trend filter, shorts) that aim to outperform the S&P 500 on a risk-adjusted basis.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
