About

Monthly, it checks if bonds have been rising. If they have, it rides the stronger of Bitcoin (GBTC) or the US dollar (USDU). If not, it makes one contrarian pick from a set of aggressive ETFs with the weakest recent score, then rebalances monthly.
NutHow it works
Each month it checks if regular bonds (BND) made money over ~4 months. If yes, it puts everything into the stronger of: GBTC (a fund holding Bitcoin) or USDU (bet on a stronger US dollar), based on ~4‑month trend. If not, it buys 1 ETF with the weakest 1‑month “recent‑moves” score (RSI: low = recently beaten down) from: UGL (2x gold), SVXY (short VIX), TECL (3x tech), BTAL (anti‑beta), USDU (dollar), TBX (bet against 7–10y Treasuries), STIP (short‑term inflation bonds). Rebalances monthly. UGL/SVXY may issue K‑1 tax forms.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~22.2% annualized return vs ~18.9% for the S&P, with crypto/dollar momentum in rising-bond regimes and contrarian hedges otherwise. Higher drawdowns but greater upside and diversification as a satellite sleeve.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
