About

Monthly, risk‑on/risk‑off switch. If bonds are rising, own the stronger of Bitcoin (GBTC) or the U.S. dollar (USDU). Otherwise, buy the most “oversold” ETF (by 25‑day RSI) from a basket spanning gold, tech, volatility, dollar, and bonds. Very high risk.
NutHow it works
Monthly. First, check if U.S. bonds (via BND) have risen over ~4 months. If yes, buy whichever is trending better over ~4 months: Bitcoin (GBTC) or the U.S. dollar (USDU). If not, buy the single fund with the lowest 25‑day RSI (a 0–100 “heat” score; low = recently beaten down) from: 2x Gold (UGL), short VIX (SVXY), 3x Tech (TECL), Anti‑Beta (BTAL), USDU, inverse Treasuries (TBX), or short‑term TIPS (STIP). High risk; UGL/SVXY may issue K‑1s.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: 26.1% annualized vs S&P 19.2%. The regime-switching design tries to capture BTC/USD upside when bonds rise and buys beaten-down assets on dips. Calmar ~0.78; but drawdowns are larger (33.3% vs 18.8%).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
