About

Monthly check of the Nasdaq top 10; buy any stock whose price is above its 210-day moving average, otherwise hold an equal-weight cash sleeve of SHV/IEI; rebalance monthly.
NutHow it works
Every month, look at the Nasdaq’s 10 biggest names (AAPL, MSFT, GOOG, GOOGL, AMZN, TSLA, META, NVDA, PEP, COST). For each stock, calculate its 210-day moving average and compare it to the current price. If current price > 210-day average, you take a long position in that stock (invest the full allocated weight in that stock). If not, you switch to a cash-like position consisting of SHV and IEI, allocated equally between the two. The result is re-evaluated and re-balanced each month. SHV and IEI are intended to provide liquidity and ballast when the trend for a given stock isn’t positive. The approach emphasizes riding stocks that are in an established uptrend while avoiding exposure to stocks in downtrends. Note: the structure shows separate branches for each stock; the actual portfolio exposure will depend on how the strategy aggregates multiple passing signals (one or more stocks could be held, or a single stock chosen per implementation).

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
