About

Monthly, it equal-weights 10 large Nasdaq stocks when they’re above their ~10‑month average; otherwise that slot shifts to SHV/IEI Treasuries. A simple trend filter that dials stock exposure up or down.
NutHow it works
Once a month, it reviews 10 big Nasdaq names: AAPL, MSFT, GOOG, GOOGL, AMZN, TSLA, META, NVDA, PEP, COST. For each stock: if today’s price is above its average over ~210 trading days (~10 months), buy it. If not, that slice goes 50/50 into SHV and IEI, ETFs holding short- and 3–7‑year U.S. Treasuries. Each of the 10 slices is equal weight.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample edge: ~34.4% annualized return vs ~23.9% for the S&P 500; Sharpe ~1.84 vs ~1.50; max drawdown ~15.1% vs ~18.8%; beta ~0.77. Trend-following megacap with Treasuries fallback aims for higher return with less risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
