A part-defensive, part-tactical strategy: it always keeps 30% in dollar/gold/short bonds, and uses the other 70% to switch among leveraged stocks, leveraged Treasuries, volatility protection, or more defense based on market stress signals.
NutHow it works
The portfolio keeps 30% in a defensive basket: the U.S. dollar (UUP), gold (GLD), and short-term Treasury bonds (SHY). The other 70% watches the stock market and junk bonds. If stocks look dangerously overheated, it buys UVXY, which rises when stock volatility jumps. If junk bonds are beating cash, it buys SSO, a 2x S&P 500 fund. If not, it checks long-term Treasury strength and may buy TMF, a 3x Treasury fund. If stocks look very washed out, it also buys SSO. Otherwise it hides in the defensive basket.
