About

A daily, rules‑based “market weather” strategy that rides stock uptrends with leverage, shifts to bonds/gold/dollar/managed futures when risk rises, and rotates into strong sectors/commodities only when they beat cash. Multiple built‑in crash brakes.
NutHow it works
It’s a rules‑based “market weather” system that shifts your money daily: - If stocks are trending up and calm, it leans into the S&P 500 and Nasdaq (sometimes using 3x funds). - If stocks get choppy or fall, it cuts risk and moves to safer spots: short‑term bonds, gold, the US dollar, or managed‑futures funds. It can also use “short” stock funds to hedge. - It watches Treasuries: when long‑term bonds are rising, it owns them (sometimes 3x). When rates rise and bonds fall, it prefers dollar/hedges, or even 3x “short” bonds. - It rotates into the strongest sectors and commodities only when they’re beating cash; otherwise it parks in cash‑like T‑bills. - Extra crash protection: if volatility spikes or the S&P drops fast, it flips to safety (T‑bills, gold, managed futures) and may use a volatility fund as a shock absorber.
CheckmarkValue prop
Outperforms the S&P in out-of-sample test: ≈33.7% annualized return vs 23.1%, with stronger risk-adjusted results (Calmar ≈1.27 vs 1.23). Dynamic hedges across bonds, gold, USD, and momentum capture upside while containing drawdowns.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
