About
A fast-moving stock strategy that usually holds the U.S. market and big tech, but makes aggressive rebound bets after sharp drops and shifts to a fear trade when tech gets too overheated.
This strategy watches two parts of the U.S. stock market: the overall market (SPY) and big tech/growth stocks (QQQ). It uses RSI, a “how overheated or beaten-down is the market lately?” score from 0 to 100.
If the overall market has fallen hard recently, it buys SPXL, an extra-aggressive version of the S&P 500. If tech has fallen hard, it buys TQQQ, an extra-aggressive version of the Nasdaq. If tech has run up too far too fast, it buys UVXY, which tends to rise when market fear jumps. Otherwise, it simply splits money between SPY and QQQ.
Out-of-sample edge: ~34% annualized return vs 17% for SPY; Sharpe ~1.10 vs ~1.05; Calmar ~1.14. Regime-switching, levered dips + volatility hedge offers significantly higher upside with disciplined risk control.
