About

A fast‑switching, rules‑based strategy. In uptrends it buys dips in tech; in downtrends or panics it flips to hedges: inverse ETFs, volatility (UVXY), bonds, dollar, or commodities. Uses simple “hot/cold” signals (RSI) and trend filters. Very aggressive.
NutHow it works
It first asks: is the stock market (SPY) in a long‑term uptrend and are bonds (TLT) rising or falling? - If uptrend: buy dips in high‑beta tech (e.g., TQQQ, SOXL, TECL; sometimes top‑momentum stocks). If a surge looks overheated, briefly hedge with UVXY or inverse ETFs (SQQQ/SOXS). - If downtrend or panic: rotate to shorts (SQQQ/SOXS/SPXS), bonds (TMF/TMV), dollar (UUP), or commodities (DBC/GLD). RSI = quick “hot/cold” meter: high=overheated, low=washed‑out.
CheckmarkValue prop
Not suitable as a core holding: out-of-sample results show negative returns and large drawdowns versus the S&P 500. If used, limit to a tiny, high‑risk satellite for hedging/diversification in a risk‑controlled portfolio.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
