About

Daily, multi-asset momentum engine that rotates across crypto proxies, volatility, growth ETFs (notably ARK funds), and bond proxies. It prioritizes a central CONS bucket (about 95% weight when signals align) while using several risk checks and short/long rotations to build a diversified, but complex, long/short portfolio.
NutHow it works
A daily, rule-based system splits capital across several mini-strategies that each pick assets based on simple momentum/risk signals. Some blocks favor crypto and volatility plays (BITO/BITI, UVXY, VIXY); others favor growth/ARK ETFs (ARKK, ARKW, ARKG, ARQ, TARK) or bond proxies (IEI, IEF, TLH, BIL). Each block scores candidates using recent performance and volatility tests, then selects top assets (often the single best asset) or a small group to hold. The “CONS” bucket is the main engine (about 95% of capital when signals align), with a cash buffer or alternative blocks filling the remainder. Positions can be long or short depending on the sub-strategy (e.g., long ARK funds, short ARK funds, long BITO and short BITI depending on momentum signals). The portfolio is rebalanced daily, and risk checks (drawdown, standard deviation, moving-average comparisons) gate entries to limit risk. Expect exposure to crypto proxies, volatility, tech/growth equities, semis, and bonds; results depend on dynamic cross-asset momentum and volatility regimes.
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample: ~40% annualized return vs SPY ~22%, driven by a diversified momentum engine across crypto proxies, volatility, growth ETFs, and bonds. Strong upside with built-in risk checks; but higher drawdown (~53%) requires volatility tolerance.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
