About

Daily, rule‑based switcher: short S&P (SH) when markets look too hot, hide in T‑bills (BIL) when Treasuries surge, buy Nasdaq (QQQ/levered QLD) when conditions favor growth, or hold gold + short EM (GLD/EUM) when risk turns defensive.
NutHow it works
Each day it checks “heat” gauges (RSI=0–100) and a 30‑day trend. 1) If tech/consumer/dividend funds are very hot, it shorts S&P (SH). 2) If Treasuries are very hot, it holds T‑bills (BIL). 3) If the Nasdaq is very cold, it buys 2x Nasdaq (QLD). 4) Else: if corporate bonds (LQD) beat healthcare stocks (XLV), it owns Nasdaq (QLD if S&P is above its 30‑day average, else QQQ); otherwise it holds gold (GLD) and a short emerging‑markets fund (EUM).
CheckmarkValue prop
Out-of-sample, this strategy delivers ~43.5% annualized return vs ~20.7% for the S&P, Sharpe ~3.53 vs ~1.81, and Calmar ~12.8, with drawdowns in the 3.4% range vs 2.9% for the S&P. Higher upside with disciplined risk.

FAQ

A Composer symphony is an automated trading strategy that executes trades based on parameters of your choice. Some symphonies are similar to holding one ETF in normal conditions and rotating to a different ETF when market conditions shift, for example a 5% drop in the S&P 500, while others use complex rules with dozens of triggers. However, complex doesn’t always mean better. A simple, well-structured symphony can be just as effective as an intricate one. Learn more about how symphonies work here.
